Justin Gaethje successfully finished his job at UFC 286 as he beat Rafael Fiziev via unanimous decision. Gaethje as expected gave fans an ultimate treat of a fight to watch and continued his reputation for giving bangers. However, the fighter wasn’t that happy about his friend, Kamaru Usman who lost his fight, and Michael Bisping for his commentary.
Gaethje revealed during the post-fight press conference that he thought Usman won the fight and the judges were biased towards Edwards. During his statement, he didn’t forget to take a dig at Michael Bisping for being way too biased with his commentary toward the champion.
He said: “Yeah I mean I thought he won the fight but I’m probably as biased as the judges. Certainly not as biased as Michael Bisping who shouldn’t have been nowhere near the microphone during that fight. Yeah, it s****. I just thought it was very unprofessional.”
Bisping has always been supportive of Leon Edwards and as a fellow Brit must be very proud of his achievement. He and Edwards are the only English fighters who have won the championship belt in UFC. It’s not the first time UFC commentators are being accused of being biased and Gaethje in the past has also called Daniel Cormier for the same reason.
Michael Bisping was all over the place at UFC 286 as the former fighter made a lot of notable mistakes during his commentary
At UFC 286, Michael Bisping substituted Jon Anik as the official commentator being in London it was just special. However, Bisping just had one terrible night which just kept getting worse as the night advanced.
Initially, he made a wrong choice of words during one of the fights and apologized to the live fans for using it. ” She was having some s**”, said Bisping and then continued “Pardon me.”
Second time, he was a little bit confused about the name of the fighter, Malcolm Gordon, and made the mistake twice and finally got it right. Maybe Bisping was nervous while commenting for the UFC in his country.
