“2 Questions for you”- Kamaru Usman has rhetorical questions for Jake Paul as the Twitter feud intensifies

Kamaru Usman and Jake Paul have been at constant odds with each other and their rivalry bought out a brutally honest side of Kamaru

Kamaru Usman had an interesting ride on Twitter last week, with his rivalry against Canelo gaining the first real interaction between the pair. The whole ordeal started after Usman’s manager taunted Canelo on the fact that he fights boxers with “less than 5000 followers.”

The exchange ended when Canelo said he had no time for Usman and instead was much more interested in building his legacy. Though the saga had seemed to simmer down for a while, apart from some shots at Stephen Espinoza from the UFC Welterweight Champion, it certainly was not over. The latest addition to this ongoing fiasco is Jake Paul.

Kamaru Usman had been longingly awaiting a payday in boxing against Canelo, he might get the payday but against a much less experienced boxer in Jake Paul

Jake, YouTuber-turned-boxer has himself been looking to fight Canelo and came to boxing’s defense when the Nigerian Nightmare claimed it to be a dying sport in a response to Espinoza. Jake pointed out Kamaru’s hypocrisy in wanting to earn a payday from a ‘dying sport’

Not one to hold back, the Usman hit back at Jake with a few rhetorical questions. “You’re really good at this internet tough guy s**it” said the Nigerian giving Paul credit for the brand being built. The following half of the message had two very clear answers, the champion asked, “You and me locked in room, who makes it out alive” implying Paul wouldn’t last against Kamaru in a life or death situation.

The second question was also similar in nature. The Champ asked, “Saul (Canelo) and I locked in a room who makes it out alive?” implying that despite the vast disparity in striking, Kamaru is a more complete fighter and hence would fare better in an actual fight.

The Champ ended the tweet with a playful, “I like your energy though” aimed at Jake. Kamaru Usman, who will presumably face Leon Edwards for the title next, has been looking to make a foray into boxing ever since his knockout victory over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261. Though many doubt his striking would be as effective against a boxer, no one seems to be second-guessing Kamaru’s brutal power.
