Kevin Holland wants to fight Stephen Thompson
Kevin Holland is really enjoying his time in the welterweight division. After going 2-0 in the weightclass, “Trailblazer” wants “Wonderboy” Stephen Thompson for his next fight.
Kevin Holland has grown to be one of UFC’s fan-favorite fighters. The former middleweight fighter has not only proved himself inside the octagon but has also had a lot of eyes on him when he’s not fighting because of his hilarious personality. Holland has never failed to disappoint his fans inside or outside the octagon and this time for his next fight, Kevin wants a matchup with UFC legend Stephen Wonderboy Thompson.
Kevin has gone 2 and 0 in his welterweight career with two finishes against Alex Oliveira and Tim Means. Though Kevin is not currently ranked in the 170-pound division, Stephen showed interest in the fighter’s call-out in the post-fight octagon interview at UFC Austin. Thompson is currently #7 in the welterweight division but wouldn’t mind fighting the unranked Holland.

Kevin Holland is down to fight Stephen Thompson next month
“It is a fight down because I am not ranked but I kinda should be ranked after one fight at welterweight because I was ranked at middleweight. They took my ranking away off of a dub it is crazy. But whatever, Wonderboy and me would be a fun fight. I think we would have a good time, all he has to do is sign the contract,” said Kevin talking to MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn about “Wonderboy” showing interest to fight him.
“August. If he’s down for August I am down for August. I know I said September after my fight but I have sat down, I feel good, I feel ready to go, so after this week I’d be ready get right back,” said Kevin on an ideal timeline for his fight against Stephen. Kevin has always been very active inside the octagon and it looks like the fans would get to see more entertainment from the Trailblazer very soon.
Wonderboy is coming off two losses against Gilbert Burns and Belal Muhammad in 2021. The fighter has a record of 16-6-1 in his professional career and stylistically Kevin would be an amazing matchup for the legend.
