“I’m very happy” – Khabib Nurmagomedov’s emotional reaction to Belal Muhammad’s TKO win over Sean Brady at UFC 280

Belal Muhammad stunned the world at UFC 280 by delivering an unexpected TKO against the dangerous Sean Brady. “Remember The Name” has gained a lot of respect from the fans and also the legendary Khabib Nurmagomedov after his win.
Khabib Nurmagomedov has played a huge part in the training camps of a handful of fighters on the UFC 280 fight card. From Islam Makhachev, Abubakar Nurmagomedov, and Belal Muhammad, the former UFC champ has helped them prepare for this highly-anticipated card.
The top welterweight contender made coach Khabib proud today with a wonderful TKO win against a dangerous opponent Sean Brady. Nurmagomedov gave his honest reactions to Muhammad’s fantastic win. “The way he shine tonight, I’m very very happy for him. It is amazing, you know, not many people can shine,” said Nurmagomedov.
“They can train so hard but when they go to the cage when mental things is coming, they cannot shine. But today he showed his best performance. This guy is very close to 170 title shot,” added Nurmagomedov.

What is next for Belal Muhammad after UFC 280?

With his win at UFC 280, Muhammad extends his unbeaten winning streak to 8 fights. The fighter has been a real dark horse in the welterweight division and is edging very close to the welterweight title shot. Muhammad has not lost a fight since 2019.
He currently is at the #5 rank in the welterweight division. Belal Muhammad has been calling for a crack at the top-ranked fighters of the division for quite some time now. Not many fighters would be willing to fight a low-ranked fighter when they could sit out a top-flight opponent. Muhammad took the risk and successfully got past Sean Brady.

It won’t be easy to find “Remember the Name” an opponent from the creme de la creme of the 170-pound division but Muhammad will call for it nevertheless. Belal called for Khamzat Chimaev in his post-fight octagon interview.
