Ever since Francis Ngannou left the UFC, it has become a huge talking point in the community – since he was on road to becoming the greatest UFC heavyweight fighter. Similarly, Khabib Nurmagomedov, also supported his idea of leaving when he can make a huge amount of money.

Ngannou was supposed to fight Jon Jones, on Jones’ return fight to the UFC. If Ngannou had agreed to the terms of the contract. He wanted to box, which he wasn’t allowed to. He wanted to have medical insurance on the contract, which was denied. Feeling cornered with terms, he decided to become a free agent.

Khabib supports Ngannou’s decision of leaving and said,” Leave if you make 50-60 million dollars with boxing, because I know he come from Africa and very poor. If not, then you can become UFC’s greatest heavyweight fighter”. Khabib knows that this sport is brutal and fighters need the money to survive since at the end of the day it is a job to pay the bills.

People have been judgemental about what might have caused Ngannou to leave UFC and not fight the fight of his life. Whatever his reasons might’ve been, it feels nice that there is another fighter who understands where he comes from.

Why did Francis Ngannou leave?

After the end of the first UFC fight night of the year, it was revealed by Dana White that Francis Ngannou wasn’t a heavyweight champion anymore and has been released from the contract. He went on further to add that Ngannou wanted to take it easy.

Ngannou was supposed to fight Jon Jones in a title defense fight. But after the negotiations with the contract fell off, he was released by the organization. His belt was put on the line for the fight between Jones and Gane. When asked what was the reason, he said he wanted freedom which he wasn’t getting from UFC.

Now that Francis Ngannou is no longer with UFC, he is a free agent free to do what he wants – boxing. Which the fans and the fighters themselves have announced to be between Ngannou and Tyson Fury. It is a match to look forward to, to know who is the baddest motherf***er on the planet.
