“Usman almost sent him to heaven”- Khamzat Chimaev reacts to Jorge Masvidal’s snarky comments about his legacy
Khamzat Chimaev - Jorge Masvidal
Jorge Masvidal has been a professional fighter for more than a decade and the veteran isn’t impressed with what welterweight prospect Khamzat Chimaev has shown in the octagon. “Gamebred” has a record of 35-16-0 in his professional mixed martial arts career and Khamzat on the other hand has only 11 fights in his entire career.
Masvidal recently made an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast hosted by YouTube celebrity Logan Paul. In the podcast when asked about Chimaev’s rise to the top, Masvidal believed Chimaev needed to beat someone from the top rankings in order for him to get the cosign from Miami’s own.
When Logan asked Masvidal if Chimaev is beatable inside the octagon, Masvidal claimed the rising welterweight hadn’t done enough for Masvidal to think about beating him yet. “I don’t think sh*t of him,” said Masvidal on the Impaulsive podcast. “He hasn’t fought anybody. He has a while to go. He got to go fight somebody.”
“Who did he fight?”– Khamzat Chimaev questions Jorge Masvidal’s legacy for pointing fingers at him
Many criticized Khamzat for his performance, he promised to run through Burns but it proved to be a tougher challenge than expected. Some claimed Khamzat failed to live up to his hype, while many including Dana White believe he passed the test with flying colors.
Khamzat’s coach had mixed reactions to his performance as well, he said Khamzat faced the first real test in his career, and what he does next will truly define his career. He stated Khamzat made many mistakes in the fight, but with a properly laid out plan, and a lot of hard work he can definitely become a champ.
Khamzat also took notice of Jorge’s comment, and talking on Hustle MMA, he said, “I saw Masvidal still saying that I didn’t fight anyone. Who did he fight? How can you say that after getting KO’d stiff? Usman almost sent him to heaven.”
