Sean Strickland does not believe Khamzat Chimaev has earned a title shot after UFc 294

According to Strickland, Chimaev has not quite made his case as the next contender for the belt. He said:

The only thing I like about Chimaev is that he sells fights…He hasn’t fcking deserved it… I’ll go fight the fcking man for five rounds. But no, he’s not earned it… Getting a decision with a welterweight off the couch is not f*king earning it.
Sean Strickland said on UFC Fight Pass.

In Strickland’s view, Chimaev hasn’t worked enough to merit such a significant opportunity. Chimaev’s recent victory at UFC 294 marked the end of a prolonged period of inactivity. However, a suspected broken hand from his fight against Usman may potentially pose challenges for his future prospects. This leaves us pondering how the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev’s UFC career might take.
