Dana White recently announced a women’s title fight between Zhang Weili and Yan Xionan for UFC 300. Now, he shocked everyone with one more women’s fight between legendary Holly Holm and two-time Olympic medalist Kayla Harrison. As such, he also announced the signing of Harrison, who previously competed at the PFL.

In the recent fight announcement video, Dana White looked excited to announce Holly Holm vs. Kayla Harrison for UFC 300. As such, he acknowledged the two women for their accomplishments in combat sports and hyped up the fight. Further, he mentioned this fight to take place at bantamweight, making it Harrison’s debut in the 135lbs weight class. Here is what he said:

Holly Holm is one of the baddest women to ever compete in combat sports ever. She's fought all the nastiest women in the world in boxing and in MMA, except for one. Holly would be taking on the only person in US history to win back-to-back Olympic gold medals in Judo. The UFC has officially signed Kayla Harrison.

Kayla Harrison pursued free agency after her long career with the PFL. As such, the UFC jumped on the opportunity to sign her into the UFC. Earlier, a potential super-fight between her and Cris Cyborg made its rounds on the internet. However, now, it was out of the equation as Harrison will face former UFC champion Holly Holm in the UFC.
