“Fan watching his cooking”- Max Holloway reacts to Khabib Nurmagomedov claiming Alexander Volkanovski has more ‘fire than him’
Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway will face each other in the metaverse
This Saturday at UFC 276 will be the third encounter between Max Holloway and UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. The co-main event of UFC 276 will feature top pound-for-pound competitors for the first time ever, with Holloway becoming the first UFC fighter to accomplish so in a trilogy when he is already down 0-2 in the standings. Volkanovski is presently ranked No. 3 in the world by MMA Fighting, while Holloway is ranked No. 6.
During The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Max stated, “I’m a champion. I’ve been telling everybody that. I’m going to be a champion and I was a champion from since when I freakin’ got into the UFC. That’s just the way that you’ve got to carry yourself. If you don’t carry yourself that way, then why are you fighting? Are you fighting to be the second-best in the world? That makes no sense.”

“I’m still doing it”- Khabib Nurmagomedov’s assertion is refuted by Max Holloway, who demonstrates that he still has the desire to compete at the highest level
Max confesses he was surprised by Khabib’s statements, especially after two Fight of the Night victories against Calvin Kattar and Yair Rodriguez. Khabib recently declared that in the trilogy between Max and Alex, Alex would prevail because he had a greater desire to win than Holloway. He doesn’t really give a thought about what Khabib has to say, though. The featherweight title will be returned to Holloway on Saturday night in an effort to demonstrate that he still has the will to compete at the highest level.
In pre-fight media scrum, he asked about his response to the comment to which he hilariously responded by stating, “Not at all, you know? I mean, he’s probably talking about Volkanovski having more fire because he has a cooking show or something,Maybe the fire resemblance there, but other than that I don’t know, man. I don’t know. Khabib is Khabib. He’s gonna say what he’s gonna say, and I have no idea what he’s talking about, you know? I’m here, and I’m still doing it, so I can’t wait. There’s a lot of people saying stuff, and we get to figure out if everything is true, if I still have the fire come Saturday night.”
In 2007, towards the conclusion of his second year of high school, Holloway began training in MMA. In a span of three months, he was successful in capturing three amateur championships at Just Scrap, Destiny, and 808 Battleground. He is now regarded as one of the greatest Featherweights ever.
