Sean Strickland made headlines for his recent emotional breakdown on Theo Von‘s podcast. The UFC champion spoke about reliving his childhood trauma ignited by Dricus Du Plessis‘ vile comments. However, according to Michael Bisping, Sean Strickland should not complain after his comments about others and their families in 2023.
Sean Strickland recently appeared on the This Past Weekend w/Theo Von. There, he had an emotional breakdown talking about his traumatic childhood memories. While he received a lot of support online for being vulnerable and open, he also received much criticism. One of the things that UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping pointed out was that Sean was the one who started it. Discussing the situation on his YouTube channel, Bisping said:
And listen, I agree with Sean. Wives and children are off the table. But when you start it, when you go down that path then all bets are off. The gloves are off and a lot of nasty shit gets said. Look listen at the end of the day it doesn't matter. They are just words. Sticks and stones may break my bones and all that good stuff.Michael Bisping via YT
Sean Strickland had previously said that he sensed something was off about Ian Garry’s wife, Layla Anna-Lee. Strickland labeled her a “sexual predator” and suggested Garry should end the relationship. Garry’s wife responded to Strickland’s claims. However, she faced significant backlash online. Garry and his wife have been together since early 2021, and they got engaged that same year.
Ian Garry responded to Strickland’s viral breakdown. He said Strickland attacked his wife incessantly and obsessively, calling her a pedophile. Garry also said that Strickland had projected his childhood pain on him by bringing his wife’s name into the conversation. Ian Garry told Strickland to shut his mouth and focus on himself because he had enough serious issues to solve.
Michael Bisping on Conor McGregor’s comeback in 2024

Conor announced this on New Year’s on social media, breaking the silence on his much-anticipated return. However, Michael Bisping had some thoughts to share.
Michael Bisping said fighting at 185 pounds would hurt Conor McGregor’s endurance. He stated that McGregor’s endurance would suffer at 185 pounds. Bisping expressed doubts about McGregor’s readiness for this weight class. He emphasized the potential impact of a heavier weight category on the UFC star’s speed. Bisping wondered if the added weight McGregor had put on would hurt his performance.
On New Year’s Eve, Conor McGregor announced his return to the UFC in 2024 with a short video on X. He announced that he will face Michael Chandler this July at International Fight Week in Las Vegas. However, the UFC has not yet officially confirmed the date or the fight.
