UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping has some concerns regarding Justin Gaethje‘s decision to hold out for a shot at the lightweight title. Gaethje recently expressed his willingness to bide his time if a title-fight rematch between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira materialized.

However, Michael Bisping suggested Gaethje should take up the challenge thrown by Max Holloway. Bisping was enthusiastic about the idea. On his YouTube channel, Bisping expressed his excitement. He said:

…Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway, ‘BMF’ belt, make some more history, defend the ‘BMF’ belt…

Bisping proposed that Gaethje should defend the ‘BMF’ title against Max Holloway. Meanwhile, Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev should settle their score. Bisping predicted that Islam Makhachev would likely emerge victorious. He predicted that after that Gaethje could step up to face him, whether it be in Las Vegas or Abu Dhabi. The bottom line for Bisping was that Justin Gaethje should not sit out as he reminded him that he could be easily forgotten.

Bisping also considered the scenario of Makhachev facing Conor McGregor, as Daniel Cormier suggested. Therefore, Bisping advises Gaethje to keep himself active to remain in the title conversation. In the fast-paced realm of MMA, waiting for opportunities might not always be the wisest choice. Bisping’s counsel to Gaethje was straightforward: seize the opportunity to face Max Holloway and secure his position in the spotlight.

Call me cr*zy, I think he’s going to come back and look great...I think that he’s going to be motivated. I think now he has six months to really turn it on.
