UFC megastar Jorge Masvidal and welterweight Colby Covington is a never-ending hate story, and with their rivalry partially in the hands of the law, don’t expect any resolution between the two in your lifetime.

Masvidal, a former BMF champion, and Covington, the former interim-welterweight champion, were friends for 8 years who used to train together at American Top Team until Covington parted ways with the gym following an intense feud with Masvidal and other teammates like Dustin Poirier.

So Covington left American Top Team in 2019 to join MMA Masters the next year and both Masvidal and Covington traded verbal back and forth on Twitter, through interviews, and on occasions, face to face as well. Masvidal and Covington eventually get to meet each other inside the Octagon at UFC 272 in March 2022, and Covington won a one-sided contest against Masvidal via unanimous decision.

Following this, later on, the same month, Masvidal gets detained for some time for allegedly assaulting Covington on facing him outside a restaurant in Miami, Florida.

Many MMA aces reacted to this incident, and Michael Bisping for once enjoyed the whole drama, he had a few run-ins with Gamebred, and he believes Colby should’ve seen it coming. Talking about it on his YouTube video, he said, “Jorge Masvidal’s effectiveness as a trash-talker comes from two things. First, when Jorge insults you, he not only means with every fiber of his being, but you can bet your life he intends to follow that insult up with his fists.”

Bisping added, “Look, if you don’t believe me, just ask Colby Covington and his potentially fake Rolex. Trust me, I’ve had two run-ins with ‘Gamebred’ myself before we talked it over. This man absolutely means every harsh word that comes out of his mouth. He is authentic. The second thing that puts Jorge on this list is how he phrases things. It’s absolutely f*cking hilarious.”
