The new season of UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter has completed its first week of shooting. The 31st season of TUF features former two-division UFC champion, Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler as opposing coaches who will be scheduled to fight later this year.
The latest improvements regarding the first week of the shooting have revealed that the coaches might already have started playing mind games with each other. In a recent interview with The Mac Life, Conor McGregor shared his experience and return against Michael Chandler.
“I’m incorporating my own training in this season of TUF…We had a good day. I’m feeding off this energy. I like Michael. We spoke yesterday. I think I’m going to slice through him,” McGregor said. The first week of TUF has just ended and the show will go on air in May 2023.
Michael Chandler responded to Conor McGregor’s statements from the interview in a tweet. “Go ahead, you walk out the octagon first, the illusion of dominance is right where I want you to be,” Chandler wrote.
Conor McGregor insists on a fight at 185 lbs upon return fight against Michael Chandler

In his recent interview, former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion, Conor McGregor shared his experience after concluding the first week of coaching in the TUF 31. The Irishman also discussed the weight class he would prefer to make a return at.
Michael Chandler has challenged McGregor to a fight at 170 lbs. However, McGregor expressed interest in fighting Chandler at 185 lbs. The Irishman’s recent physique updates have made fans and fellow fighters skeptical about the possibility of his return to the Octagon as a lightweight contender.
Both Chandler as well as McGregor are coming off losses to former interim lightweight champion, Dustin Poirier. McGregor will make a return to the octagon after two years of inactivity and recovery from a brutal leg break suffered at UFC 264 in 2021.
The new season of TUF will air later in May and will conclude with the announcement of McGregor vs Chandler as a main event. Chandler will look to make the maximum out of the biggest money fight of his life. Currently, both the fighters stand at -110 in betting odds.
