Former UFC Superstar Nate Diaz met with Lightweight Michael Chandler at UFC 285. Nate Diaz is not known to be cordial with other fighters. So, it was surprising to see Diaz being friendly with Chandler at UFC 285. Chandler is currently coaching the TUF 31 opposite Conor McGregor, which has made the meeting suspicious for the MMA community.

A reporter from Inside Fighting soon caught up with Chandler and asked if Diaz had advised him on how to beat McGregor. Chandler said, “Well … maybe.” The answer from Chandler is ambiguous. It remains to be seen if Chandler is keeping the advice he got hidden from the rest of the MMA community. Maybe, it was just a friendly encounter, and the topic of McGregor did not come up at all.

Nate Diaz has left the UFC after defeating Tony Ferguson last year at UFC 279. After finishing his fight obligation on his UFC Contract, he became a free agent. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Nate Diaz. Will he compete in the UFC again? Will he do a boxing match, or will he sign for another MMA promotion? These are questions that are yet to be answered.

Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor are opposing coaches at TUF 31. They will fight at a later date this year. Their rivalry started with mutual respect that seemed to vanish by the second as they shot the TUF 31.

At a Saturday Post-Fight presser, Dana White revealed that many things went down at TUF 31 on the Friday before UFC 285. No one other than the crew knows what went down on Friday, but it is interesting to find that out once we see TUF when it airs.

Chandler and McGregor are both coming from a loss and will look to return to the winning column. Both of them will likely look for another title shot at this stage in their career. The road to a title shot starts with a victory for both. Their fight is likely to be the biggest PPV of 2023, considering the star power of Conor McGregor. A victory can make a massive impact on either of them.
