Former US military veteran Matt Frevola desired to fight Paddy Pimblett for a while now. Frevola is a United States Army Reserve lieutenant, having attended the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program (University of Tampa).”The Steamrolla” recently lost to Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 295. Despite the devastating knockout loss on Veteran’s Day, various peers have honored the fighter.
“The Baddy” recently bagged a unanimous decision win over 26-10 veteran lightweight Tony Ferguson. Afterward, Frevola toned down his callout, probably having garnered some respect for the opposition. Previously, the fighter had told TNT Sports that a fight with Pimblett would be imminent after UFC 295. Now, check out what he has requested Dana White and Co. in a recent tweet, with a customized picture of the duo:
I think it's the fight to make but at the end of the day @seanshelby, @danawhite & The @ufc need to feel the same. His backyard or mine would be fun...

He has repeatedly made a case as to why the Pimblett square-off makes sense. The 11-4-1 fighter had also made vicious callouts to Pimblett, ranging from UFC 288. This was after his matchup against Drew Dober. After his controversial win at UFC 282, Pimblett had to undergo surgery for an ankle injury and was out of the picture for a while.
Pimblett does not have any slated matches lined up yet. Neither, thus the challenger Frevola. A fight against Frevola makes sense for Pimblett at this point. Frevola is a borderline top-15 fighter in the UFC. Hence, a matchup against Frevola would help the fans better understand Pimblett before putting him against ranked contenders.
Matt Frevola makes bristle callout to Paddy Pimblett at UFC 288
Matt “The Steamrolla” Frevola has remained keen on facing Paddy Pimblett for a while now. He has made many corresponding callouts to the fighter. But a match is yet to come to fruition. He made a vigorous callout during the UFC 288 post-fight octagon interview after his knockout win over Drew Dober.

At the time, ‘The Baddy’ underwent surgery and had to rehab. Reporting that he still had not recovered from a sore leg, the fighter had planned a gradual response to the challenge. Pimblett had said he would fight Frevola when he was back. Check out Frevola’s piercing message to Pimblett in the footage below.
Pimblett kept his undefeated UFC career intact with his win over Tony Ferguson. Whether or not such a match between the two takes form is undecided. However, it can potentially become the toughest fight of Pimblett’s career so far.
