Darren Till finally made his octagon comeback at UFC 282 against Dricus du Plessis however it didn’t turn out great for the Brit. Till went into the fight with four losses in his last five matches and was desperately needed for a win. On the other hand, the new blood du Plessis was on a three-fight win streak.
Going into the fight, Till was confident and due to his last year of training. However, the fighter underperformed in the contest. Du Plessis dominated Till on the ground and finally got a submission via rear naked choke in the third round. It shocked the fans as nobody expected Darren to lose in this dominating way.
In the post-fight interview, the South African was excited and couldn’t believe he won the fight. “I just beat Darren Till. How awesome is that?,” said Du Plessis. The fighter then went on to shout out to the home crowd. Du Plessis definitely managed to build a fanbase for himself who will be looking forward to his next fight.

After the shocking submission finish by Dricus du Plessis, Twitter fans exploded and the reactions were mostly mixed. While many criticized Till for his big mouth and underperformance, many gave props to Du Plessis.
Till has been training with UFC welterweight, Khamzat Chimaev for one year. The pair have shared a bond and are extremely popular among the fans. This has fans excited about his fight but it was surely a disappointment for many.
After the fight, Till confirmed that he tore his ACL during the fight but there have been no more updates about it. It will be interesting to see what the fighter will do in order to come back from this upset.
