MMA fighter Joel Bauman, better known as ‘King Bau‘ is a famous internet personality, podcaster, and socialite. The 4-1 lightweight spoke at the in-ring presser after a win at Fury FC 61. He blamed a loss earlier that year (2022) on NFTs and a herpes outbreak, shocking fans with the hilarious admission and discourse. Consequently, now UFC superstar Conor McGregor has reposted that matter on his IG stories, finding it funny.

Bauman seemed to mean what he said, and it didn’t seem like he was trying to be funny. Naturally, the clip went viral. The fighter later explained it was a subtle jab and innuendo (the ‘outbreak‘) at Brett Weinstein‘s claims of COVID-19 claiming thousands of lives. Appearing on the ‘Tucker Carlson‘ show, Weinstein had formerly weighed in on the ‘outbreak’ taking form and claiming numerous lives.
