Michael Chandler recently took his Instagram page to share a funny video along with his kids after he lost his fight against Dustin Poirier. Chandler lost the fight via submission and was badly hurt after the fight. However, being a father, Chandler took this opportunity to have fun with his kids.
“My right foot is extremely swollen. Secondly, my face has stitches and two black eyes and a lot of swelling. I would like to say, I would not engage in the profession that your father has chosen,” said Michael Chandler.
This clip was posted on Twitter and a journalist named Mike Russel shared it on his handle with direct criticism towards Michael. According to Russel, Chandler used his kids for gaining attention on social media. He wrote: “Imagine using your kids for social media propaganda purposes? Cringe”
Chandler shares a lot of his time back home and frequently shares wholesome posts related to his kids. He has a good public image for being an entertaining fighter and a good father.
Twitter ratios reporters’ accusations on Michael Chandler
After posting the tweet, Russel got a lot of attention from the fight fans and the majority were against them. UFC fighter Terrance McKinney roasted Mike Russel and also questioned his credentials as a journalist. He wrote: “Are you a real journalist? I can’t tell. If you are remind me to never do an interview with you.”
“He does not know that as he is not a real journalist. He obviously let his dislike of Chandler cloud his journalistic judgement,” wrote a user.
Many users found no problem with Chandler’s post and ultimately disagreed with Russell’s views. “It’s a funny video he made with his kids… it isn’t that deep…I’m not sure that I’ve ever even heard of you or any of your journalistic endeavors before ?,” wrote one user.
Another user wrote, “He just lost a huge fight but is able to show he is okay and can still have a laugh with his wife and kids, nothing wrong with that in my view. Quite admirable actually”
Many users blatantly mocked Russell for his absurd claims and opinions. “Imagine being Mike Russell….. now that’s cringe. Cmon bro, jealousy and hate???,” said one user.
