Nate Diaz is starting to lose his cool. Diaz has pushed the UFC and its president Dana White to get him out of his contract. The fastest way for a UFC fighter to separate themselves from the organisation is to finish the necessary amount of fights. After his subsequent fight, Diaz has stated that he will retire. He continued that Dustin Poirier was the best opponent for his rumoured retirement fight.
Through his social media posts, Poirier gave the impression that he was on board. However, there is no agreement between his team and Diaz to put an end to the fight. White stated that Diaz-Poirier is planned, but a trilogy fight between Diaz and Conor McGregor is also conceivable.

Diaz, who hasn’t fought since more than a year ago at UFC 263, claimed that he felt that the UFC was keeping him hostage because he still had one bout left on his contract.
Dana White in the post-fight interview stated, “I’ve said this a million times and I’ll say it again — we can’t hold guys hostage. It’s not possible. I owe you three fights a year. Nate took to Twitter wherein he responded to the comments, he stated, “Dana said Francis Ngannou was injured and couldn’t fight right now Idk why he was so confused in interview. And in the last 9 months I been offered 0 fights and I asked for 5 legitimate opponents .. Thanks u for the kind words can I go now”
