Diaz responded to McGregor calling him out over trying to get into acting
Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz are back at it again. The two arch-rivals had a period of quiet between UFC 279 and now, however, the ceasefire seems to have been broken with the center of their argument being their acting chops.
Never thought we’d see a day where Diaz and McGregor would be arguing about acting but here we are. As it’s common knowledge by now, McGregor is cast to be in the Roadhouse Reboot starring Jake Gyllenhaal. He put up a message on Instagram targeted at Diaz for posting a short clip of Adam Sandler from the movie, Big Daddy.
“Stay out of my acting game I’ll smash your jaw in”, read the tweet by the Irishman. Diaz, unable to let such a barb go unanswered, responded with a brutal take on McGregor’s abilities as a fighter. “Why are you acting as you can still fight? Actor”, read the tweet by Diaz, questioning McGregor’s ability to stand toe to toe with the best.
McGregor has been out of action since his fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He has also not been tested by USADA during this period. This is likely a cause of him being under heavy medication to help facilitate his rehab from a broken tibia. If his social media posts are to be believed, the former champion is nearly back to fighting shape.
Will Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz complete their trilogy?
Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor first crossed paths at UFC 196, a fight that Diaz accepted with 12 days’ notice, after then lightweight champion, RDA, pulled out due to injury. Diaz would go on to hand the Irishman his first ever loss in the UFC as he won via an RNC in round 2.
The two met again at UFC 202 and this time the fight lasted all 5 rounds. It was arguably listed among the best fights that year and also became one of the UFC’s highest-selling PPVs. Both of their careers have been monumental since then.

Though the fans always wanted to see a trilogy to conclude the rivalry, with Diaz moving out of thr UFC it doesn’t seem likely in the near future. Both stars however have argued that a third fight will definitely happen sometime down the future.
Even prior to his exit from the UFC, Diaz noted that a third fight is a must no matter where it ultimately takes place, hinting he would be willing to have it without the involvement of the UFC.
