UFC lightweight fighter Nate Diaz has grown to become one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster. Diaz has amassed a record of 22 wins and 13 losses in his professional fighting career. He is also known to be one of the most durable fighters in the company.
Nate Diaz is set to take on Youtuber Jake Paul in an exhibition bout on August 5th. Influencer boxing is a phenomenon that has taken over the sport of boxing. Nate Diaz takes part in it by fighting successful Youtuber turned boxer, Jake Paul. Although this came as a surprise to fans, they are excited to witness the fight go down between the two. Before the fight, Nate Diaz had a couple of words for his opponent.
Through Paul’s promotion company, ‘Most Valuable Promotions,’ Nate Diaz was quoted saying “Besides Canelo, he’s the biggest thing in boxing. I’m here to conquer that,” referring to the Youtuber. Diaz feels the need to vanquish the influencer boxing scene. “I’m the king of combat sports and then I’m headed back to get my UFC belts,” said Diaz.
“I f***ed up Conor McGregor for acting out and now here I am again, like a superhero,” concluded Diaz. Conor McGregor was defeated by Nate Diaz via submission in their first bout at UFC 196. Diaz looks to conquer Jake Paul and the new boxing scene.
Nate Diaz earns respect from world-champion boxers
With Nate Diaz‘s fight ahead against Youtuber Jake Paul, the UFC star has been training hard. Nate Diaz is a skilled boxer who got into mixed martial arts. The fighter had exchanged punches against punishing striker Conor McGregor.
Two-time U.S. National Champion Andre Ward is known to be good friends with Nate and his brother Nick Diaz. They are seen to be sparring with each other often. Years ago, Andre Ward praised Nate Diaz’s boxing skillset in an interview.
“They can go,” said Ward referring to their impressive boxing skills. Andre Ward said “They wouldn’t be working with us if they couldn’t” “Nick is more ‘hit me with your best shot and I’m coming with my best shot,'” said Ward about their sparring sessions. Nate Diaz has seemingly impressed other boxers with his boxing skills despite prioritizing MMA.
Other boxers like Regis Prograis and Amir Khan have shown their admiration for Nate’s boxing. Fans are excited to witness Paul vs Diaz go down. The buzz has already started with bettings and predictions for the fight.
