We are about to witness the end of an era! Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor might have exchanged some of the meanest insults to each other throughout their rivalry but the Irishman puts his hate towards the Stockton Slugger aside to send out a heartfelt message ahead of UFC 279.

Another event to add to the list of “Things I never thought would happen in the UFC”. Conor McGregor has decided to show love to one of the biggest rivals of his career, Nate Diaz. The Stockton superstar is the biggest name in the sport for the last week and has a special mention on social media from a special person.

Conor and Nate have the biggest rivalry in the sport. Their two legendary fights are right on top of the biggest PPV sold in the company’s history. Despite their last fight being in the year 2016, Nate and Conor are still heated about the rivalry. However, Conor recently put his rivalry aside to praise the greatness of Nate in the sport.

Nate is now going to fight Tony Ferguson after a wild turnaround of events. This is most likely the last fight of Diaz in the UFC octagon and Conor had unusual praise for his former rival. McGregor acknowledges Nate’s superstar status.

“Congrats Nate Diaz on making it to the end of his contractual obligations with the UFC, and as a bonafide superstar goer,” wrote Conor in his tweet. From the Irishman’s tweet, seems like even he doesn’t believe that the Stockton fighter is finished with fighting. This may be the end of Diaz’s reign in the UFC but not from the world of fighting.
