“Send his a** to prison”- Netizens shockingly rally against Cain Velasquez after the former champ gets bailed
Velasquez has been held since the 28th of February for an attempted murder charge
Cain Velasquez was arrested in February of this year in an attempt to murder. After serving eight months in jail he has finally been given bail today by Judge Arthur Bocanegra. According to reports, Cain Velasquez was chasing an alleged child abuser named Harry Goularte Jr while Goularte’s parents were present in the same car.
Velasquez chased after them and collided with them with his vehicle. Then, he allegedly fired several shots toward Goularte’s car. After the incident, Velasquez was taken into custody right away.
The former UFC fighter was charged with several charges and if proven guilty would have to serve additional 20 years in prison. But according to MMA junkie’s reports he has been granted bail on the ground of his reputation as a family man. Judge Arthur Bocanegra, after granting bail to Cain the judge said, “I am confident and have believe you will not jeopardize anything that would take you away from your son, daughter, your family…I hope you don’t prove me wrong”
In the aftermath of this event, many of his friends and colleagues have shown support to stand with Cain. While some sections of fans are upset with the things that have played out and want Cain back in jail.
Fans want Cain Velasquez’s bail to be revoked
Fighters like Aljamain sterling and Daniel Cormier have taken Twitter to support Cain. Some of their fans were angry about the release of the former fighter and posted negative comments showing anti-Cain sentiments. Many Twitter users urged to put Cain back in prison claiming he had shot the wrong person. One user wrote, “Send his a** to prison”
One fan wrote that Cain shot the wrong person and ruined his life. He tweeted, “Cain shot the wrong person, crippling him for life, and then fled the scene”
Another user criticized Cain for his poor decision. He wrote, “If Cain had been smart…followed the dude and beat the crap out of him rather than recreating a movie chase and shootout in the middle of the day, he’d be at home with his family right now.”
One user wrote that Cain will be going to jail for his actions. He wrote, “And shot the wrong damn person. it’s just bail he’s still most likely going to prison.”
A person trolled MMA fans supporting Cain being ignorant of the actual incident. He wrote, “Most MMA fans who comment on this story literally dont even know what cain did.”
A user mocked how the fans are supporting Cain after almost Killing someone. He wrote, “Let’s gooo. He just almost killed an innocent. Definitely someone who deserves to be freed.”
Someone wrote that he hopes Cain doesn’t break any more laws in the near future after release. He tweeted, “Hopefully he won’t go running around breaking the law.”
