NSAC suspends James Krause’s glory MMA fighter Jeff Molina citing “uncategorized” cause
Jeff Molina
Jeff Molina, the UFC Flyweight fighter, has been suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Although further details into the suspension have not been revealed, on December 24, Molina was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, as reported by ESPN. There are currently limited facts known about the suspension, which is classified in the Association of Boxing Commissions database as “uncategorized.”
Jeff Mullen, the executive director of the NSAC, stated that he would not comment on the matter “until the meeting support material is provided.” The NSAC will meet again in the middle of January.
Jeff Molina made his UFC debut back in 2020 at the Dana White Contender series. The Flyweight has been a rising prospect and has been undefeated since then with 3 victories to his name. He was scheduled to face Jimmy Flick at UFC Fight Night in January but has been replaced in the fight with Charles Johnson taking his place. Many sources are linking his suspension to the James Krause controversies.
The investigation of James Krause surrounding Darrick Minner’s fight might have led to the suspension of Jeff Molina
Investigations into that fight, as well as into MMA coach James Krause, had already been started by the UFC, Nevada State Athletic Commission, and U.S. Integrity. The fight, which was part of the UFC Vegas 64, is also being investigated by the FBI, according to a report on ESPN on Friday. The NSAC is looking into that portion of the fight, and the UFC, along with U.S. Integrity and presumably the FBI, is also looking into the betting that surrounded the battle through its integrity partner, Don Best Sports.
Due to questionable betting before the fight and a potential injury-reporting infraction, the Nuerdanbieke vs. Minner match is currently under investigation. U.S. Integrity informed bookmakers that Nuerdanbieke’s odds had changed from being a -220 favorite to a -420 favorite in the days leading up to UFC Vegas 64. Despite the fact that Nuerdanbieke had lost all three of his prior UFC fights via first-round knockout, the company noted that wagers were being placed on him to do so.
At 67 seconds into the first round, Nuerdanbieke knocked out the opponent. Throughout the brief encounter, Minner’s behavior gave many the impression that he had an injury that hadn’t been previously reported. There is a high possibility that the investigation on this matter might have led to Jeff Molina’s suspension. Nevertheless, fans will have to wait till NASC gives any update about the suspension.
