UFC commentator Paul Felder lays down the perfect game plan for victory for Nate Diaz against Khamzat Chimaev. The highly awaited UFC 279 will go down this weekend in Las Vegas, the main event features a Welterweight fight between Diaz and Chimaev.

Although many consider the fight to be a one-sided affair for The Borz. As he’s currently undefeated in his MMA carrier and has finished the majority of his fight. While Diaz is on a 2 fight-losing streak and is past the prime of his carrier.

However, instead of the betting odds, Diaz is known for his durability and cardio and he has proven everyone wrong on many occasions. While many consider the fight to be a total beatdown of Diaz in an MMA fight nothing is that certain. Diaz is famous for pulling upsets in fights that he was a heavy underdog.

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour, Felder discussed the UFC 279 main event, if Nate has a chance in the fight, his post-fight questions at UFC events and if Felder would ever fight again after he announced his retirement.

When asked how he see the Stockton star‘s chance in the fight, Felder stated, “I’m a huge fan and I really am rooting for him to pull off the crazy upset. I think it’s going to be really really hard. I do think that Khamzat is the truth, He’s a scary guy. I think Nate has to pull out rabbit out of the hat, so to speak to get it done, But he has done it before but I’d say they (chances) are low. I think we are all rooting for him to bring the pain come Saturday”

He further added how he thinks Diaz should approach the fight to bag the win, “We saw Gilbert show a few wrinkles in the game, If you can hang in there and not let the allure of who he is or what he says he is, which Nate is not gonna allow that to happen. Nate’s gonna be smacking him in the face and spitting blood out.”

“That’s what he gotta do, He’s really got to frustrate him, he’s got to try to get him off his game, which is what happened in that Gilbert Burns fight. If Nate can kinda pull him into, ‘Common man thought you were a gangster.’ That’s his best bet and let that time tick off. The closer he can get to the fourth round, the fifth round, get Khamzat sucking wind a little bit. Those are the best opportunities for Nate.” He concluded.
