“Who the F**K is that guy,” Paulo Costa pulls off Conor McGregor’s catchphrase in a Twitter war with former GLORY champion
Paulo Costa- Cedric Doumbe
Paulo Costa doesn’t have many serious rivals on Twitter in the midst of his odd yet hilarious meme game going on in his account, but if he gets into a war of words with someone, he doesn’t back down, especially when it’s a challenge for a fight. Costa, the former UFC middleweight title challenger last fought at UFC 278 when he won against Luke Rockhold via unanimous decision and retired the former UFC champion.
So far, Costa has victories over the likes of Uriah Hall, Yoel Romero, Johnny Hendricks, Rockhold and many more. Costa was formerly managed by UFC legend Walid Ismail but is now managed by his girlfriend Tamara Alves. Costa has anticipated that his next fight will possibly be against the winner of the middleweight clash between former champion Robert Whittaker and former title challenger Marvin Vettori. However, at the same time, Costa is at the end of his current UFC contract and whether he decides to stay with the company or not will decide the course of his future.
Cedric Doumbe pulls off Georges St-Pierre’s catchphrase and says he is not impressed by Paulo Costa’s performance
Amongst the reactions to the main event and co-main event of UFC 278, former #1 welterweight kickboxer in the world, Cedric Doumbe gave his thoughts as well. Fair enough to say, in a tweet completely written in French, Doumbe was not impressed by Leon Edwards’ and Kamaru Usman’s performance at the main event as well as he had enough of Costa’s victory as well. Therefore, he claimed that once his signing with the UFC is finalised in order to elevate his pursuit of MMA, he can finish all three aforementioned names.

Costa responded to Doumbe’s tweet and said “Did I hear Costa? Who daqui fuc is that guy cmon … let me just with Jake an Dillon don’t mess all things lil man” Doumbe responded saying “Costa @BorrachinhaMMA I’m not impressed by your performance it was hell of embarrassing I said I would whoop your ass KO in the 2nd round, but RELAX, I see you nervous , you’re not my weight so if you stay quiet maybe I’ll not come up for you”
What do you make of this back and forth between Doumbe and Costa? Who do you think would win if they ever step inside the Octagon? Doumbe was ranked as the undisputed #1 welterweight kickboxer in the world for several years by the GLORY as well as other premiere sports media outlets. In a career spanning 83 kickboxing matches, Doumbe won 75 of them with 45 wins by the way of knockouts. Costa also is a seasoned striker who is always looking to finish his opponents with his first.
