Brendan Schaub did a Fight Companion for UFC 296 with Bradley Martyn and Rampage Jackson. In the midst of it, Jackson had Schaub entered into a conversation about Jake Paul and boxing. Paul recently defeated Andre August via first-round knockout.

Jackson was skeptical of Paul’s credentials as a boxer. However, Schaub was of a different opinion. Nevertheless, this is what Jackson said about Paul:

To be honest, just to be honest I'ma fighter but it looks like all his(Jake Paul's) knockouts are kind of set up. Like he's making a lot of money in there. What if he's just telling these guys, 'Alright, I'll give you an extra 2 million'?

Jackson had some doubts about Jake Paul’s KO victories. He even alleged match-fixing. However, Schaub did not think so and saw the victories as legitimate. Paul has fought nine times in professional boxing with an 8-1 record. Of his eight victories, two came via TKO and 3 were KO. To this date, Paul’s greatest KO was against former UFC champion Tyron Woodley. He has also knocked out Nate Robinson, the retired NBA star.

Paul’s next fight is a co-headliner in Puerto Rico on March 2, 2024. Amanda Serrano will headline the event against Nina Meinke. However, all signs point to a relative unknown in the professional boxing scene. His latest opponent, Andre August, was a relative unknown in the boxing sphere. Paul plans to get experience before fighting for a major championship belt in boxing.

Paul’s late endeavor in boxing was against Dillon Danis. He has also fought Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition boxing bout. Rampage Jackson did not think that Logan Paul was a good matchup for Bradley Martyn. This is what he said.

He's(Logan Paul) a good wrestler, yeah, and he's a good striker. You don't want to fight him.

Jackson believed that Paul’s acumen in wrestling and striking posed big challenges for Martyn, who was inexperienced in combat sports. However, Martyn’s Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu background changed Jackson’s opinion. Martyn has trained in Muay Thai for two years and has trained in BJJ for the past three years.
