UFC often resorted to the UFC Apex to host Fight Night events in between massive PPV events. As such, it kept the fans excited for weekend actions. Now, UFC returns to the AEPX this weekend for UFC Fight Night 235. However, Renato Moicano who fights in the co-main spot, strongly condemned the fight promotion for hosting events in the Apex. He would face Drew Dober this weekend.

In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Renato Moicano expressed his displeasure in fighting in the UFC Apex. Further, he claimed all the fighters and fans hated UFC Fight Nights and the UFC Apex. As such, he critiqued the UFC for using it as a way to broadcast their show on ESPN. Here is what he said:

Nobody gives a sh** about Fight Nights so it doesn't matter if it's a co-main event, main event, or the prelims, who gives a f**k, bro? It's just a sh***y way to put UFC on ESPN. The fans hate the Apex and the fighters, I'm pretty sure they don't like the Apex too.

Although Renato Moicano didn’t like fighting at the UFC Apex, he understood the business aspect of it. He mentioned the UFC had numerous athletes and Fight Nights at Apex was a way to keep them active. But, he analyzed the disadvantages for him, an outspoken person who would capture the attention of the MMA world with his mike skills. The UFC Apex only has a limited number of fans and less hype when compared to a PPV event.
