Power Slap has been under quite the heat since the release of its first episode. The organization has been accused of being dangerous for its fighters and called out for its fighter pay. UFC President Dana White has also been accused of using fake social media engagement for his league as well. Despite all this, White stated that the Power Slap has been making tremendous progress. “ It’s been incredible the deal that I just cut for Slap is bigger than the UFC deal we cut with Spike TV, after the first season of the ultimate fighter,” said Dana White.
White also claimed that Power Slap is number one in all sports regarding social media views. “If you take the NFL, the NBA, the NHL, F1 and WWE and added them all together their numbers don’t compare to Slap,” explained White. Dana’s claim left many reporters in disbelief. “It seems a little doubtful,” expressed one of the reporters. However, according to the UFC president, Slap’s stream did over 3.2 million views on Rumble. Out of them, 1.7 million viewers were on Rumble for the first time for Power Slap.
Be as it may, White’s claims received backlash from the audience on Twitter. Many claimed the UFC president to be lying about numbers and fooling others.
