“He’s good at being the hammer” – Sean Brady reveals Colby Covington’s weakness in fights

Sean Brady talks about Colby Covington's weakness
Sean Brady believes there is a side to Colby Covington’s fighting that nobody has tested so far in the octagon. The undefeated welterweight mentions the area Covington will find tough to excel at in his fights.
Sean Brady is rising up the welterweight rankings and an opportunity against Colby Covington wouldn’t go wasted according to him. The undefeated welterweight fighter is a fan of the 170-pound division he fights in and is curious as to why Covington’s opponents have not tried to force him on the ground more.
Brady was recently part of the Morning Kombat show hosted by Brian and Luke. The fighter sat down in the studio and discussed the welterweight division. Brady mentioned that the two-time welterweight title contender has not beaten anyone in the current top 10 rankings apart from his arch-nemesis, Jorge Masvidal.
“He is good. But I remember watching RDA fight him and he’s really good at being the hammer,” said Brady talking about the skills of Chaos Covington. “RDA took him down a couple of times and I’m like, damn, that’s something nobody’s ever tried to do to him.” Covington is known to be one of the best wrestlers in the stacked welterweight division.

Sean Brady believes fighters need to shoot more takedowns on Covington

Brady after talking about Covington’s performance against RDA digged into how the champion Kamaru Usman preferred to strike with Covington rather than take him down. “Even Usman never shot on him [Colby] in those two fights. What if Usman shot on him, took him down, and could’ve finished him potentially,” said Sean talking on the Morning Kombat.
“I look at it a whole different way. That’s not something many people are [doing], not many people are shooting [takedowns] on him.” Sean is currently 15-0 in his professional MMA career. He is coming off a win against Michael Chiesa and is ranked #9. The fighter believes he would fair well against the top 5 of the division. Watch the full interview below:
