He wondered how the Democrats won the elections and stated his prejudice, calling most of the people ‘trash.’ Here is what he said:
You gotta wonder how these fucking democrats get elected...... I guess when trash is the majority it's easy to get elected.Sean Strickland via X
With Sean Strickland’s outspoken nature, he had often found himself in trouble for his controversial comments. However, most people welcomed his recent opinion on X. Since Strickland opposed the current US President Joe Biden, he had often expressed his disinterest in the ruling party’s agenda.
Sean Strickland recently became a UFC champion by beating Israel Adesanya in UFC 293. It came as a surprise for most of them as he was labeled a huge underdog in the fight. However, he dominated Adesanya to become the champion. Now, he will face Dricus Du Plessis for his first title defense in UFC 297 next year.
Sean Strickland trashes Joe Biden’s gun control bill
It was well known that Sean Strickland disapproves of Democrats and Joe Biden and his ideologies. As such, he criticized the move that restricted the acquisition of guns. Further, the bill had regulations about background checks and more that impeded the process of acquiring a firearm. As such, Strickland wasn’t encouraging of that idea and trashed Biden for the same. Further, he went after the Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey for supporting the cause.
Joe Biden passed an executive order under the ‘Bipartisan Safer Communities Act’ to control firearms from reaching threatening hands. However, it wasn’t received well by the UFC fighter Sean Strickland. So, in an interview, he blamed McConaughey and President Biden for encouraging the bill. Here is what he said:
I think the corporations are fu****g evil. And Matthew McConaughey dude, these fu****g cu***, these politicians, Biden, they go and they put this fu****g red neck... he's telling you the 18-year-olds shouldn't have an AR-15. Motherf*****s you can give an 18-year-old a gun and send them to Afghanistan but he can't go home and buy an AR-15? Fu** you guys!Sean Strickland via X
The bill was passed after a massacre in an elementary school that resulted in multiple casualties. So, the government, concerned about safety, enhanced the background checks through this bill. However, Sean Strickland believed in something else and opposed it. As for his career, Strickland rose to a new level of stardom after this win over Israel Adesanya. Now, he fights Dricus Du Plessis in UFC 297 in January 2024.
