Sean Strickland narrates WILD story about meeting “Weinstein of MMA” Aspen Ladd’s boyfriend, triggers response from Jim West

It is impossible for Sean Strickland to add a filter to his speech. The controversial UFC fighter has once again rattled the MMA community with his recent story of meeting Aspen Ladd’s boyfriend, Jim West.
Jim West, 44, and Aspen Ladd, 27 have known each other for more than a decade now. The fighter/head coach relationship has caused a lot of controversies in the MMA community and Sean Strickland is one of the many prominent figures in UFC to call out the head coach and accuse him of grooming the fighter.
In a wild thread of tweets, Strickland also called Jim West the “Harvey Weinstein of MMA”. Recently Strickland uploaded a video on his Instagram revealing the story of how he recently ran into West at the UFC PI. Best believe the UFC fighter had no filter while narrating this story.
“He [Jim West] comes up to me and he’s like, ‘Well, Sean, I was a former detective and I did not know Aspen Ladd until she was 18,” said Strickland on his Instagram video. Though Strickland walked away after meeting Aspen Ladd’s boyfriend without a potential fight, which he was hoping for, the fighter still remains skeptical of their relationship.
“She was training at your gym at 14 or 15 years old, right? We’re gonna say that was true. And at some time, she turned 18 and this girl you had no idea existed, she turned 18 and you’re like, ‘you know what? Now I’m gonna put my pe**s in her and make her my girlfriend.’ That sounds like grooming to me,” said Sean in the Instagram video.
Strickland is still not convinced about West’s justification as to why he began to date Ladd when she was 18. Strickland’s rant about Jim West was about one and a half minutes. To watch the full video check the Instagram video below:
Jim West responds to Sean Strickland’s video and calls ‘BS’ on his “facts”
Following Strickland’s rant, Aspen Ladd’s boyfriend, Jim West himself typed a comment correcting the UFC fighter on his “facts”. According to West, he had never known Ladd before she turned 18 and claims that the fighter was actually not a part of his gym, “MMA Gold”.
“It was nice to meet you @seanstrickland_mma @strickland_mma_ but your facts are incorrect. Aspen trained at underground mma in Jackson California when she was 14. Lol at least have your facts straight. She didn’t train at mmagold which was Folsom mma until she was 18. From 14 to 18 she trained at underground mma. Again. You can talk shit. That’s your prerogative. There is your facts,” wrote West in the comments.
Aspen Ladd is now no longer with the UFC and has signed a deal with PFL. Several weigh-in mishaps in the UFC forced the promotion to cut the fighter off from the roster.
