UFC commentators better hide Snoop Dogg’s commentary of him watching the iconic fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Michael Johnson from the UFC boss else their job might be at risk.
Iconic rapper Snoop Dogg is the most-loved person on the planet. There isn’t a field of entertainment that the fighter isn’t involved in. The west-coast rapper’s reaction/commentary to former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov’s fight against Michael Johnson will make you wonder why Snoop hasn’t called a live UFC fight yet.
Snoop is one of the biggest fight fans among top celebrities. In an old video of the rapper posted on his social media, you can see him hilariously reacting to American, Michael Johnson getting absolutely mauled by the Russian, Khabib.
“I got Khabib [Nurmagomedov] against anybody in lightweight. Khabib playing games with him, putting his nuts in his [Michael] face and all kinds of sh*t,” said Snoop as Khabib went for the submission. One of the funniest moments in the video is when the rapper referred to Michael being dominated as if there were more than just one fighter throwing the punches.
“N*gga 24 and 0. He’s a bad motherf**ker. That’s my new n**ga now. I’m betting with Khabib,” said Snoop in the hilarious video. Khabib surely impressed the rapper with his dominant performance at UFC 205 which put the entire division on notice.
Did Khabib Nurmagomedov earn a title shot after beating Michael Johnson?
Khabib after his win against Johnson extended his undefeated record to 24-0. Khabib was ranked number two at the time in 2016 and was clearly not happy about the contract he received from the UFC. The fighter also went off during the post-fight interview and demanded a title shot.
The undefeated fighter was on an 8-fight win streak after his win against “The Menace”. Despite the efforts, Khabib only fought for the title, two years later against Al Iaquinta in UFC 223. Prior to the title shot, Khabib had to beat then, top contender, Edson Barboza in dominant fashion to become the undisputed title contender.
After his win against Al Iaquinta, Khabib created history and fought in some of the most entertaining fights of all time. Khabib retired from fighting in 2020 with a record of 29-0.
