Marcin Tybura is a great fighter, he's been around a long time as well. He's very experienced but I'm going to come at him and if I dink him, I sink him. Simple.Tai Tuivasa via The MMA Hour
Tuivasa is from Australia and competes in the UFC’s heavyweight division. The Aussie initially pursued a rugby career. He played professional rugby for the Sydney Roosters. However, he retired from rugby because of a gambling addiction and transitioned into MMA. Tuivasa boasts a professional MMA record of 15 wins and 6 losses. His last fight was at UFC 293 where he lost against Alexander Volkov.
Tuivasa and Tybura will headline the main event at UFC Fight Night 239 at UFC Apex in Enterprise, Nevada. Tuivasa is a fan favorite who has lost three fights in a row. However, he previously scored five straight knockouts. Meanwhile, Tybura is a much-experienced fighter and was on a two consecutive winning streak before being knocked out by Tom Aspinall in July, last year.
How much will Tai Tuivasa and Marcin Tybura earn from UFC Fight Night 239?
Tai Tuivasa has said he will take advantage of Marcin Tybura’s “slow starts” in fights. Aspinall had defeated Tybura by TKO just 1 minute into the first round at UFC Fight Night 224.
He also mentioned headlining the main event in front of the smaller UFC Apex crowds as compared to the other big events. Tuivasa is estimated to earn $295,000 for his fight against Tybura at UFC Vegas 88. This is based on the total payout for Tybura’s last fight which was against Tom Aspinall.
Tuivasa may also receive sponsorship money and fight week incentive pay. Fans cannot wait to see the heavyweight make a comeback after the consecutive losses he has currently faced. It will be interesting to see what happens inside the octagon at UFC Fight Night 239.
