Tai Tuivasa
Tai Tuivasa has finally found a place where he can put on his fighter’s suit the best and the location might surprise you but it has been a major magnet of many combat sports superstars lately, Anthony Joshua has been one of those names. Tuivasa, the #3 ranked heavyweight is coming off the biggest win of his UFC career back in February 2022 when he knocked out Derrick Lewis in the second round, technically becoming the new king of knockouts in the heavyweight town.
The Australian is now looking forward to solidifying his position for a title fight in the future, provided he defeats Ciryl Gane this weekend in what will be UFC’s first event in France. Gane is the former interim-UFC heavyweight champion and was undefeated before running into the undisputed champion Francis Ngannou. Another fight this weekend is also an exciting middleweight clash between former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and former title challenger Marvin Vettori.
Tai Tuivasa believes his focus on his goal remains intact while training in Dubai
In an interview with Ariel Helwani for the MMA Hour, Tai Tuivasa talks about fighting light-heavyweight great Jon Jones in near future, his upcoming fight against Gane and much more. In the midst of all, Tuivasa explains his reasons to locate his training camps from Australia to Dubai and how has it been helpful to “Bam Bam.”
“Well you know, it’s been working out for me in Dubai,” says Tuivasa “And I’ve got a good crew there. I’ve got a good team, so it’s been working for me, you know. So just leave it there and I suppose it keeps me on the straight narrow you know, away from all the temptations and whatever else…” continues Tuivasa.
