Francis Ngannou left the UFC as the undisputed heavyweight champion. In his absence, the UFC booked Jon Jones vs Ciryl Gane for the vacant title, which Jones easily won. However, Jones has not defended the title due to an injury. In Jones’s absence, the UFC booked an interim title fight between Sergei Pavlovich and Tom Aspinall, which Apsinall easily won. Jones submitted Gane in the first round, while Aspinall knocked out Pavlovich in the first round.

Even though the heavyweight boxing champion held the moniker of ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet,’ many consider the UFC heavyweight champion as the ‘baddest’ now. As such, Ngannou, Jones, and Aspinall have a claim to be the ‘baddest.’ Ngannou is the hardest puncher of the trio, as evidenced by his brutal knockouts. Moreover, he even scored a whopping score of 129,000 on a punching machine. Aspinall failed miserably to break the record, as he could only score 40,000. This is what Aspinall said after he failed.

If he did 129,000 and I did 40,000, that is ridiculous stuff...I might quit. I'm thinking about quitting.

Aspinall tried multiple times on the machine made by PowerKube. 45,000 was the highest score he could get. He also scored in the 20,000s and 30,000s. One of the technicians advised that Aspinall did not hit the target area. He also urged Aspinall to use his elbows to generate power.

Francis Ngannou had, in the past, shown his power in a different punching machine. Recently, UFC middleweight Joe Pyfer claimed to have surpassed that record. However, the technicians found the machine to be faulty at the time. Nonetheless, UFC welterweight Sean Brady attested on Joe Rogan’s podcast that Pyfer hits very hard.

Now, Aspinall previewed Ngannou’s fight with Joshua, and Aspinall gave Ngannou a bigger chance against Joshua than Fury. Aspinall stated that Ngannou’s boxing skills were his weakness, but he could knock out Joshua.

Moreover, he also stated that the unpredictability of the punches could also trouble Joshua. Aspinall did not write off Joshua. He praised Joshua’s accomplished background in the sport and even stated that Joshua could easily win by sticking to the fundamentals.
