Tom Aspinall won the interim heavyweight championship in UFC 295 by defeating Sergei Pavlovich. Soon, he went ahead and called his shots to fight for the undisputed title. As such, he sent callouts to Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. He even went into a back-and-forth argument and trolled Jones on X. He revealed his future plans after addressing the potential fight with the MMA legends.

‘In his YouTube channel, Tom Aspinall recently posted a video explaining his callouts to Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. He claimed the UFC dismissed them and affirmed Jones vs. Miocic would definitely happen. So, instead of waiting for the undisputed shot, Aspinall wanted to return against someone soon. Here is what he said:

Jon Jones is going to fight Stipe (Miocic). Apparently, I will be fighting someone else in the meantime. Not sure who just yet, but I'll be keeping my options open. I train twice a day and I'm staying prepared...

Tom Aspinall claimed the interim title under unfortunate circumstances as Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic fell through from UFC 295. Undisputed champion Jones was set to take on Miocic in a legacy matchup, headlining UFC 295. But, Jones injured himself in training, leading the UFC to scrap the fight and put forth an interim championship.

Even though Tom Aspinall grabbed the interim title, the UFC persisted with the legacy matchup and wanted it to be Jones’s return fight. Still, the British native held his ground and tried his best to instigate Jones into a fight. But it didn’t work. As such, Aspinall would be fighting a heavyweight contender soon, and Jones would come back to defend his title against Miocic upon his return from injury.

After being fed up with the UFC for not offering an undisputed title fight, Tom Aspinall gave it up and looked for other options. So, he shared his interest in fighting a worthy heavyweight contender soon. As such, he revealed a timeline for his return and extended his thoughts on fighting at UFC 300.

Tom Aspinall liked the idea of having his next fight in summertime. However, the Brit looked at the upcoming historic UFC 300 card and expressed his interest in participating. But he also commented it was a bit soon. So, he welcomed the rumored UFC UK event and wanted to fight in it. Here is what he said:

It's probably likely in the summertime unless they offer me a UFC 300 fight. But, that's coming around pretty soon. So, I don't think so...I'm hearing there's going to be a UK card. That's not confirmed yet but I'm hearing rumors about it. so, if they're doing the UK card, it would only be right to put me on it. 

Earlier, Tom Aspinall was rumored to take on Alex Pereira in his move up to heavyweight. But, it was dismissed after ‘Poatan’ declined it. Now, with the undisputed champion Jon Jones unavailable, he wanted to get into action and defend his interim title.
