The matchup is scheduled for 10 minutes but the Canadian flyweight fighter needed only 65 seconds to tap out the ex-champion. Just moments after the bell, Robertson managed to take down Namajunas and take her back. The swift transition allowed the flyweight to find a rear-naked choke submission after only over a minute.

This is a huge statement to make! Grappling happens to be Robertson’s forte unlike Namajunas but to finish the former champion in 65 seconds surely puts the rest of the division on alert. Robertson is only 27 years old and has been fighting in the UFC since 2018.
