“I do believe he only needs to have one fight where he earns like 5 million for it to be a win for him. That can happen between now and the next four years. I believe it’ll happen, so I don’t think it was a mistake,” says Curtis Blaydes. The fellow heavyweight backed him up on the departure from the UFC. Despite losing twice against the ‘The Predator,’ Curtis felt the need to back him up on this very issue. However, this did not stop fight fans from trolling him on Twitter.

This came as a shock to fans as he was set to fight tougher and better opponents like Jon Jones. Due to his departure, fans were visibly disappointed. The president of the UFC, Dana White, had mentioned that Ngannou did not want to take risks.
