The Former UFC light Heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz is not a fan of same-sex marriages. Tito Ortiz has been outspoken about his opinions on the LGBTQ community and has never been afraid to share them.
Recently speaking in an interview with Freedom Fight Night, Tito Ortiz discussed topics like parenting and same-sex marriages. He explained how parents should control their kids and not let them go out of bounds. He also explains how American families with single parents or same-sex parents can have a negative impact on the child growing up.
Speaking on the show he said, “You need to have that nuclear family that so important…when the government starts saying its okay for have just a father or having just a mother…or having two moms or two dads are confusing shit out of child, the child don’t know what ups from now”
Tito Ortiz competed in UFC until 2012 and was eventually inducted into the UFC hall of fame. His last bout came against Alberto del Rio at Combate Americas 51 where he won via submission. He has also been the Mayor Pro Tempore of Huntington Beach from Nov 2020 to June 2021.
When Tito Ortiz gave a homophobic remark on Chael Sonnen claiming the latter commented on his open zipper
Back in 2017, Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen were set to face each other in the cage at Bellator 170. Coming into their fight Tito Ortiz seems to have made some derogatory jokes on Twitter directed toward Chael Sonnen.
He said on Twitter that Chael Sonnen was looking at his crotch during a segment on Bellator 163. He tweeted, “Chael Sonnen didn’t know u were gay. Looking at my crotch 2 see if my zipper was down. I don’t swing that way but I have a few friends that do.”
Later when a fan pointed out that Chael was married he replied to him, “Oh shit damn my bad. Why was he looking at my buldge? “
Sadly for Chael, he could not get his revenge and shut Ortiz’s mouth as he lost to him at Bellator 170. Tito Ortiz emerged victorious after making Chael Sonnen tap out to a rear-neck choke. It was the last fight that Tito competed in the promotion.
