Sean Brady wants to fight Khamzat Chimaev

UFC welterweight prospect Sean Brady believes he has what it takes to beat Khamzat Chimaev.

UFC’s welterweight division is one of the most stacked weight classes. The 170-pound division has some great up-and-coming fighters who look promising and Brady is surely one of them. Khamzat Chimaev is on cloud nine as he sits on top of the food chain, ranked #3 in the welterweight division. Sean Brady who is currently ranked #9 is confident that the two stars will meet sooner or later in the future.

Khamzat is coming off an impressive win against title contender Gilbert Burns at UFC 273 and Brady gives his thoughts on that fight. Brady was recently on a studio sit down with Luke and Brian of Morning Kombat where he spoke about the welterweight division and his potential opponents.

Sean gives a lot of props to Khamzat and defends him against critics who bashed him for the Burns fight. Khamzat went to war for the first time in his career and did not finish an opponent. “People thought Khamzat was gonna shoot lasers out of his eyes. He is only human,” said Brady in the podcast. “Khamzat looked great. To be the #11 and beat the #2 guy. That’s a big f**king jump and he looked great.”

“Khamzat is beating most of the guys in the division. 100 percent. But not me. I think I can beat all these guys and we are going to go like this [points to the top] and meet each other and it [fight] is definitely going to happen,” said Brady talking to Luke and Brian. Brady is currently 15-0 in his professional career and is coming off a stunning win against Michael Chiesa at UFC Vegas 43. Brady is looking to land a top opponent for his next fight and believes he has not been given the opportunity to prove himself. Khamzat, on the other hand, is probably just one fight away from a title fight.
