One of the main reasons why slap-fighting has received tons of criticism is because of the lack of skill involved in the sport. Many fans believe fighters not being able to defend themselves from brutal slaps should not be endorsed. On top of that, finding out that they get paid poorly has added to agitation.

The show has premiered on television and the ratings have tanked. White, however, seems to be unfazed by all the criticism. The UFC boss also advised critics to go and watch “The Voice” instead. Announcing the Slap-fighting contest following his wife-slapping scandal was never going to go well for the head honcho.
