Not long ago, the world witnessed the legendary Nate Diaz fight for the last time inside the UFC octagon at UFC 279. The lead-up to that farewell fight was not the smoothest but when has a Diaz fight ever been a smooth ride? Diaz’s final fight had all the elements one would expect from the Stockton fighter’s bout.

Dana White and the fighter had several disputes leading up to the fight but after it was all said and done, White couldn’t help but walk backstage and embrace the fighter who has been with the UFC since 2007. After looking after Diaz’s leg which was hurt badly during the Tony Ferguson fight, White gave a very emotional goodbye to the Stockton Slugger.

“You know this is your house. Whatever you need. It’s your house, kid,” said White to Diaz. “If you wanna hang out, let’s hang out,” said Diaz as he shook hands and embraced the UFC boss. White also shook hands with the senior Diaz brother who is also another superstar in the promotion’s history.
