It’s not that easy to impress Dana White but it wasn’t the case for UFC newcomer Nurullo Aliev. The ‘Tajik Eagle’ finally fought his first UFC bout at UFC Fight Night 220. Coming into the fight, Aliev had an enormous amount of support from people in his home country. The UFC president, recently shared a viral clip from Tajikistan where MMA fans flooded a stadium to see Aliev fight live on his debut.

White in the captions mentioned how amazing it was for the fans to show that much amount of support to their fellow fighter. He wrote: “This is how many people showed up in a stadium in Tajikistan to watch UNDEFEATED @NurulloAliev first fight in the @ufc. How BADASS is this?!?!”

It was really incredible that a community as healthy as that showed all their support to their fighters who represented their country at the highest levels. For UFC it’s good news considering that they can get more views and capitalize it monetarily.

Aliev was already making waves for his uncanny resemblance with former UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov. The fighter also in a conversation with Dana White mentioned his plan to get the lightweight belt in the upcoming two years. Many fans were excited to see what the fighter brings to the table and it turned out pretty amazing.

Aliev fought Rafael Alves for three rounds and won the fight via unanimous decision. After the fight during the post-fight interview with Michael Bisping, Aliev gave a huge shoutout to his countrymen and broke the news about his wedding.

“Hey guys locate me down. My country 10 million people. First fight UFC, Tajikistan. Yesterday my father called me, Nurullo you fight winner come your wedding day,” said Aliev.

Aliev has shown his potential but is yet to face tougher opponents in arguably the most competitive division in the UFC. It will be interesting to see if the fighter could keep his word and get any closer to the UFC belt in the upcoming few years.
