Dana White and his team might have put on an electric fight card last night but Canelo Alvarez vs Gennadiy Glokovin 3 was clearly the event of the night. So much that even the fighter on UFC Vegas 60 was desperate to rush off to the boxing event after his win in the octagon.
UFC Vegas 60 and Canelo Alvarez vs GGG 3 took place in Las Vegas last night and there is no question here on which event was bigger among the two. Though UFC is no inferior to the sport of boxing, a Canelo fight clearly takes the winner by a huge margin. Even UFC boss Dana White wouldn’t be shy to admit that.
Rodrigo Nascimento, UFC heavyweight had a huge fight against Tanner Boser on the main card of the Fight Night event. The two went to war for three rounds and in the post-fight octagon interview, Rodrigo had a hilarious request for Dana and the other executives.
“I want to say something. I am a big fan of Canelo and Triple G. Hey, Dana, Mick, Sean, you [Daniel Cormier], I really really want to go there. Give me two tickets please for Canelo fight,” pleaded Rodrigo in his octagon interview.

Dana White caught watching Canelo Alvarez vs Dimitry Bivol during UFC PPV event
Dana wouldn’t be too mad with Rodrigo Nascimento for his request given the UFC boss is a huge fan of the Mexican boxer himself. Dana can’t resist watching boxing events. So much so that he would take his eyes off his own PPV event to watch the Canelo vs Dimitry fight that took place in May 2022.
UFC 274 took place in Arizona the same night the legendary Alvarez faced his first defeat in a long time against Dimitry Bivol. UFC 274 featured one of the worst title fights of all time in Rose Namajunas vs Carla Esparza for the strawweight title. Even the UFC president was very critical of that fight.
In order to take his eyes off that five-round snooze fest, Dana watched Canelo vs Bivol sitting octagon-side. Canelo also shared the picture of Dana watching his fight on his Instagram story.
