The MMA Hour podcast’s Ariel Helwani is one of the top MMA coverage journos of our time. The Canadian-American sports journalist is infamous for diving into a plethora of topics. And on pre-fight and seasonal interactions with MMA entities. One such entity is Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, whom he has often crossed paths with. Jackson recently took to X to reaffirm signing the fight contract for his pro-boxing debut later this year.

This is against the heavyweight knockout artist Shannon Briggs, in June. Ahead of which the fighter appeared on his ‘JAXXON‘ Podcast in a friendly banter/discussion with the opponent-to-be. The duo have been trolling each other ahead of the anticipated bout on X. Doing social media rounds, Jackson recently appeared on Helwani’s podcast. It shows him doing an introspection on why he jokes around so much. To which Helwani says –

Well, you said...'Everyone needs someone,'...I felt like that was you opening the door to me asking you if you have someone...I feel like you were inviting me.

The fighter has nudged that everybody requires company; his family and friends, however, pass out on his advice because he jokes around too much. This consequently spawned Helwani’s funny advances getting sneered at. Quinton Jackson is infamous for his hilarious and unfiltered stories. Occasionally, also his temper tantrums, as evidenced by his iconic TUF clip ripping open a door.

Despite controversies of backstabbing and top fighters ducking him out, Helwani and his podcast remain a prime specimen of modern entertainment. He also has an ongoing feud with the promotion’s top honcho, Dana White. However, love it or hate it, The MMA Hour provides iconic interactions like the one above. And it excites fans nonetheless.

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and MMA journo Ariel Helwani have a long-standing acquaintance. The 45-year-old has appeared in many viral clips and awkward interviews with Helwani. The subsequent encounters have always excited fans of their heckling and baiting encounters. Case in point, Quinton Jackson once almost dropped Ariel Helwani over a confused lingo of ‘squashing’ their beef.

The former UFC light heavyweight appears in his pro boxing venture soon this year. During the show, Helwani also showcased some memes in response to “Rampage” Jackson’s claims that he was being disrespected. The memes on display angered the fighter, as he believed that the Canadian journalist was showing the memes by “The Cannon” Shannon Briggs to his audience.
