Kamaru Usman’s brother, Mohammad Usman (7-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) faced Zac Pauga (5-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) on the main card of UFC Vegas 59.

Mohammed is a gifted athlete just like his brother, but he worked very hard to find his way inside the UFC octagon. While talking to the media before the event, Mohammed thanked his brother for providing him with the opportunity and vowed to make Usman proud with his performance inside the octagon.

Pauga remained unfazed by Mohammed’s relationship with the middleweight champion, and he was out on a quest to make a name for himself.

Round 1 – Mohammed and Pauga were fighting for the heavyweight crown of The Ultimate Fighter 30, Pauga started the action with a running front kick to the face, Mohammed ate it well, and created some distance between them. Pauga was looking light on his feet, and he was touching Mohammed from outside the range.

Mohammed was sitting on his punches, and that made him miss some big shots, he got a takedown but Pauga got right back up. Pauga knew he couldn’t get close so he started hitting him with oblique kicks. Great output from Pauga in the first round.

Round 2 – Usman gave some good advice to Mohammed at the end of round 1, and Mohammed followed his advice. He started fighting with more patience. Pauga kept the same approach, and just as he moved in for a jab, Mohammed landed a big check hook that dropped his opponent to the ground.

He didn’t even have to follow him up on the ground, and the fight was over. Celebrations started early for Pauga, and his brother Kamaru Usman jumped inside the octagon as well. Mohammed accepted the trophy from Dana White and thanked his team for all the support. He wishes to come back inside the octagon again to shake up the heavyweight division.
