WATCH: Sean O’Malley nukes dummy Petr Yan in heated interview with “Schmariel Schmelwani”
Sean O'Malley and Petr Yan
Henry Cejudo better watch out because rising bantamweight contender Sean O’Malley is coming for that “King of Cringe” title! If you wanted a glimpse of how goofy the Suga Show is outside the octagon, the fighter’s social media is the place you want to visit.
Sean O’Malley got a huge bump in the challenge as he faces former champion, Petr Yan, at UFC 280. This fight is one of the most craziest matchups of all UFC’s top flights. Sean has barely been tested inside the octagon but the UFC has decided to throw him to one of the most technical and amazing bantamweights to grace the UFC octagon in Yan.
Sean and Petr have been going back and forth for a long time and props to the rising star for not backing out from the banter, it has finally earned him a matchup with one of the top fighters in the bantamweight division. Cringe or not, whatever Suga Sean’s doing seems to be working for him and you can’t knock him for that. Sean, despite not being one of the top fighters on the roster, has a huge fan following and it is mostly because of the content he posts on his social media.

Sean has a huge fight in his hands and many believe the fighter is chewing more than he can swallow going against someone like Yan. Sean has only started to fight ranked opponents and his last fight was against veteran, Pedro Munhoz, which ended in an uneventful eye poke. The referees called the fight, “No Contest” but Sean is confident he would have won the fight if not for the accident.
O’Malley also has only one loss in his UFC career which came against Marlon Vera. Sean is now set to face the former champion of the division in a three-round bout at UFC 280 which takes place in Abu Dhabi. The card will be headlined by the lightweight title fight between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev.
