Chael Sonnen has always been known for his trash talk and his way of absolutely destroying his opponents inside and outside the octagon. After winning a fight, in the post-fight interview, Joe Rogan was minutes away from getting it from Sonnen for interrupting him.

Sonnen has been notorious for trashing his opponents in press conferences. His brutal way of roasting his opponents and potential opponents has garnered him many fans.

In one such instance, there was a possibility of Rogan also getting it from the Bad Guy. After winning his fight, in the post-fight interview, he was calling out Wanderlei Silva and Joe Rogan dared to interrupt him. Sonnen didn’t like it and said, “If you think a middle-aged comedian won’t get it, think again”.

One definitely wouldn’t want to mess with the Bad Guy. Verbally or in a fight, Chael Sonnen would destroy his opponent making them wonder about the decisions that led them to him.

It is common knowledge now that Colby Covington’s chaos mode was to save himself from getting cut from the UFC roster. But it became common knowledge thanks to Joe Rogan – which Chael Sonnen didn’t like.

“Chael Sonnen was mad because I talked about what he [Colby Covington] does. I go, ‘He’s having fun and he’s playing up the role of the villain and he’s selling pay-per-views.’ Sonnen was like,’ Stop giving up the secrets of the business.’ It’s so ridiculous,” Rogan said. Sonnen didn’t like the fact that Rogan was giving up Covington‘s plan of staying on the roster.

Both Sonnen and Rogan have had their moments on and off the octagon, but never too serious. It has always been good fun – at least that’s what it seemed to the fans in the community. Without these two commenting on fights, the post-fight, and pre-fight reactions have always felt empty.
