Jimmy Fallon visited Conor McGregor at Paddy Reilly’s Bar in New York City. The pair were seated at the bar, where they had toots of whiskey. Then, the duo proceeded to cheerfully sing the iconic song ‘Whiskey in the Jar.’ It is a traditional Irish folk song that is sung by millions in the country of Ireland.
McGregor and Fallon appeared to be raw while singing the song. However, it was clear they were delighted in the bar. The segment quickly went viral and was shared by McGregor fans all over different social media platforms. His endearing side was a sight to behold for fans and viewers alike.
Conor McGregor snuck Proper 12 whiskey into the UFC 229 Press Conference
The ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor is known for his wild antics during press conferences. His controversial behavior ahead of the fight has brought an abundance of negative attention amidst the positive. One of those stunts took place during the press conference of UFC 229. The fighter’s bout against Khabib Nurmagomedov was a much-anticipated event in the history of combat sports. The conference held in 2018 saw McGregor perform his untamed antics ahead of the fight.
At the conference, McGregor was highly intoxicated. The fighter continued to sip whiskey throughout the entire event. However, the thing that caught people’s attention was the bottle he attempted to sneak in. In anticipation of the UFC preventing him from entering in possession of alcohol, the fighter hid a small bottle of Proper No.12 in his suit.
“I came here to have a buzz with this,” yelled McGregor to the reporters. He then continued, “I almost didn’t get the bottle into the arena. I anticipated that they weren’t gonna let me in with my big bottle. So, I had a little bottle brought in,” said McGregor.
This was a hilarious moment for the fans and reporters in attendance. Throughout the press conference, an intoxicated Conor McGregor continued to taunt Khabib Nurmagomedov.
